I have been wanting to have some painted paper templates in my tool box forever! I hand painted these a few months back and finally got around to prepping them and adding them to my boutique at Scrap Girls. I had such fun putting together some greeting card templates for Dads, Grandfathers or that special guy. And last but not least a Custom Shape Pack with three great shape sets featuring fun brackets and shapes! All of these products are also available as a commercial use item. The Layout below is by the talented Laurel Lakey and features her cutie pie son Westley!

Brevyn's two front teeth had been loose for a very long time. He even managed to talk the Dentist into letting them fall out at home! See if you have spent time with Brevyn you know that he doesn't like change at all. He is a homebody and likes things to stay the same, likes to be in his comfort zone and likes familiar things around him. He becomes very attached to things. Finally Brevyn's tooth was hanging on by a thread and it came out when he was fiddling with it. Bren and Taylor were with him and Bren told him to go rinse his mouth out while he (Daddy) came to look for me. I made my way to the bathroom only to find Brevyn in tears and his head buried in a towel. I asked him if he was OK and this is what he said "I don't want to have a new smile,". And if you know Brevyn you also know he comes up with these answers to questions that you just really can't argue with. I felt so sad for him, I mean I can relate in many ways. For him losing a tooth means change, a different smile, something new and unknown. For me it means my youngest son will have a new smile, his face will change and my little boy is growing up... boy, I can relate...

My Mom & Dad celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary yesterday! They are such young, vibrant people that it seems unreal that they are at the age they are now. I remember their 35th wedding anniversary like it was yesterday. I was pregnant with Taylor (my third) and we threw them a big party. While I am excited to celebrate each of thier anniversaries because it's such a milestone in this day and age, it also makes me a little sad. Because with each anniversary they celebrate, I get older, my kids get older, we all get older. Where did the time go?
